I've posted enough for the day, I think I'm done, and then I run across something that I just can't pass up: Body and Soul: Big Gay Jpegs
I have nothing against gay people. I have gay friends. Whatever they want to do in the privacy of their own homes is fine with me. Getting married, raising children, pursuing their careers, doing all the things normal people like us do, that's fine. But -- call me old-fashioned, call me a prig -- but I draw the line at gay people, or anyone else, putting naked pictures of themselves on the internet, where children can see them. And prostitution? Gay prostitution? I'm sorry, I don't care how Republicans try to make me see that as just somebody's personal life, I'm just flat-out against gay prostitution. I think most Americans agree with me and I don't know why Republicans don't get that. It really bothers me that this White House would give special favors to a prostitute who puts his private parts right out there for children to see. What kind of a message does that send about our values, when the White House is promoting gay pornographers? That just doesn't reflect my values.
Democrats: The party of gay families.
Republicans: The party of gay pornagraphers.
Update: Source for the wonderfully evocative phrase "Big Gay Jpegs" was Sisyphus Shrugged:
"What they want the subject to be: the need to 'fix' social security.
What the subject is: big gay jpegs of Jeff Gannon's equipment from underneath."
No anti-gay intent; sorry if it seemed that way. I'm all for gay families, after all.
