According to the Wall Street Journal, three Christian Ministers anointed chairs and the doors of the room in which Alito hearing will be held with oil. They claimed that they weren't taking sides in the Alito
debate, but said that "God…is interested in what goes on" in
the nomination hearing, and that God "certainly needs to be involved" in the Supreme Court confirmation process.
