In North Buffalo, someone stole a baby Jesus statue from the Leising's yard just before Christmas last year. Eight months later the statue showed up on their doorstep, along with The Baby Jesus Chronicles, a small book of photos of Baby Jesus in the shower, sitting by the campfire, riding a bike, etc.

More than 100 passengers on a Saudi plane were left panic-stricken by the unexpected appearance of furry fellow flyers - dozens of mice.
The small rodents - about 80 in total, according to a local newspaper - escaped from the bag of a man traveling on the domestic flight...the bag's owner was detained by police investigating how he managed to get the mice onto the plane.
I don't really care how, I want to know why they were in his carry-on luggage: Post-trip gifts for his family? In-flight snacks for his snakes? What?

It's the time of year for the Scared of Santa Gallery. Sometimes fear is the proper response. As Witt and Wisdom said in 2004:

If you need further justification of my fear, just twist up the scenario a bit. Suppose I came to your house on July 25th and told you I was going to take your kid to the mall to sit on the lap of an elderly obese man and have your child tell him, in graphic detail, what he wants the man to bring him in the middle of the night. How would that be?"
