Commenters there and at Pharyngula characterize it as coneheads; a Ku Klux Klan member all out of fresh sheets, and had to make do with the chintz drapes; the dominatrix out on the town for the glamorous evening; rejected Star Wars costumes; and more than one said that the metallic flipper purse mitten thing is also a nice touch.

Oh good. According to ABC news, because of Global Warming and our overfishing depleting all the predators (whales and tuna), there's one good outcome:

Maybe there will be more of these!

We worrywarts should just lighten up.  As our ED says, the Earth will survive all the damage to it that we are doing. What isn't clear is whether WE will survive it.
